The Athletics are set to play six games next year at Las Vegas Ballpark, marking the final games they will play in Southern Nevada not in their $2 billion Strip stadium.

The Athletics will return to Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin for six home games during the 2027 season. The club will open its Las Vegas homestand with a three‑game series against the San Diego Padres from May 31 through June 2, followed by another three‑game set versus the Cincinnati Reds from June 3 to June 5, MLB announced Thursday. MLB aims to have its earliest possible start date for the 2027 season, with international slate games set to begin March 24, provided an opening day is scheduled. The league said the 2027 campaign will kick off with a single game to be televised nationally by Netflix; the participating clubs have not yet been determined. Opening matchups are: Cleveland at the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis at Cincinnati, the Chicago White Sox at Detroit, Texas at Houston, Minnesota at Kansas City, Atlanta at the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New
