Amber Davies calls out audience member for filming Legally Blonde performance
Amber Davies, former Love Island contestant and current Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde tour, addressed an audience member during the interval of Saturday night’s performance at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin. She posted a video to her Instagram Stories in which she said, “We've got a beauteous audience, but there's conscionable 1 pistillate successful the beforehand row, been filming the entirety of enactment one, it's had america each distracted,” and added that she had asked staff to remove the individual for the second act.
Davies described the filming as a breach of theatre etiquette, calling it “your regular reminder not to movie astatine the theatre.” She said the behavior had “ruined the morale of our fantastic eighth amusement connected a Saturday nighttime from selfish actions.”
Production company Royo told BBC Newsbeat it had no further comment on Davies’ remarks.
Davies won the third series of ITV’s Love Island in 2017 and has since built a career in acting and musical theatre. She is presently portraying Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde production touring the United Kingdom and Ireland.
