The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a three‑year, $75 million contract extension with wide receiver Michael Wilson, a deal that includes $47 million guaranteed and could escalate to $78 million in total value, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Wilson was poised to enter the final year of his rookie deal after being selected by Arizona in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Stanford.
In 2025 Wilson became a prominent component of the Cardinals’ passing attack, setting career highs with 78 receptions for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns while appearing in all 17 games, 13 of them as a starter. He recorded his first 1,000‑yard season after a relatively quiet start to the year and accumulated 775 receiving yards over his final eight contests, per NBC Sports.
His development provides Arizona with another long‑term option alongside tight end Trey McBride and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Wilson has posted at least 545 receiving yards and three touchdowns in each of his first three NFL seasons; his 126 targets in 2025 also marked a personal best. Across 46 career games, including 38 starts, he has amassed 163 catches for 2,119 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The extension signals a significant commitment from the Cardinals as they embark on a new chapter under head coach Mike LaFleur. Wilson is expected to remain a key piece of the offense, particularly if Harrison stays healthy, following a 2025 stretch in which his role grew increasingly important as Arizona’s attack progressed.
Arizona will open the 2026 regular season on September 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
