Construction continues at Hard Rock Hotel Casino Las Vegas, the Strip’s largest and most-visible resort project.

Construction is underway at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, the Strip’s largest and most visible development project. The 42‑story Guitar Hotel, which topped out this spring, is now largely enclosed in blue‑tinted glass, with exterior sheathing covering the lower sections of the tower. Work continues on installing windows in the former Mirage hotel tri‑tower, which is undergoing a full interior renovation. The approximately $4 billion building effort is slated to open in the late second quarter of 2027. Upon completion, Las Vegas’ newest hotel‑casino will offer roughly 3,600 guest rooms, about 175,000 square feet of gaming space, two spas, multiple pools and live‑entertainment venues, plus dozens of restaurants, lounges and retail outlets. The Guitar Hotel itself will rise 42 stories and contain 675 hotel rooms and suites.
