Helen Jenner announced by Nigel Farage as new leader of Reform in Wales

Nigel Farage announced Helen Jenner as the new leader of Reform in Wales, after Dan Thomas stepped down last week following his arrest on suspicion of assault and coercive control. Speaking on the steps of the Senedd in Cardiff on Monday, Farage declared, "I've known Helen for many, galore years. She is simply a determined campaigner." He expressed regret over Thomas's "personal difficulties" but said the situation had become untenable for the former leader to remain in office. Jenner, who had served as Thomas's deputy while also holding the Senedd seat for Bangor Conwy Mon, described her election as Reform Wales leader as an honour.
