Jackie, a bald eagle that gained fame as an online star in California, died on Monday after weeks of veterinary treatment. The bird had been under the care of the Ojai Raptor Center following an attack by other eagles. Underlying health problems, including anemia and weight loss, complicated her recovery. "Over the past several days, her condition continued to deteriorate despite intensive care and the combined efforts of our veterinary team and consulting specialists," the Ojai Raptor Center said in a statement.
