Las Vegas police arrested Cody Nox on Tuesday following a shooting at a shopping center in the 7100 block of Arroyo Crossing Parkway, near Rainbow Boulevard and Roy Horn Way. The incident was reported around 2:50 p.m. after a 911 caller said he had been shot at while in the Sam's Club parking lot and that the suspect had left the area.
According to a police report, officers received a second call from Nox, who stated he had shot at another person's vehicle following a road rage incident "because he was upset." Nox remained in the parking lot near Seafood City in the 7200 block of Arroyo Crossings Parkway and waited for police.
Investigators located the initial caller and his Lexus, which had an apparent bullet impact to the front windshield and a broken tailgate window. The man told police he was shot at by a male in a Tesla after a road rage dispute in the lot. Police determined the bullet appeared to have traveled from the rear tailgate window through the front windshield.
A search of Nox's vehicle turned up a 9mm Beretta handgun and a magazine containing six rounds. Neither party reported any injuries. Nox was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges including discharging a gun into an occupied vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a gun where others may be endangered, and discharging a gun from a vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing.
