Las Vegas vet, fire crews save kitten with plant stand impaled through mouth — VIDEO

On July 24, 2026 - 9:25 am, Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center and the Clark County Fire Department rescued a kitten after a plant stand fragment became lodged in its mouth. The kitten arrived at the facility with a heavy portion of a plant base impaled through its mouth, the base still attached. Fire crews worked to remove the metal fragment before veterinary staff treated the wound. The hospital reported that the kitten suffered no broken bones as a result of the incident. A statement from the center read: “This tiny combatant recovered good and was discharged by the extremity of the day.” The kitten was released later that same day.
