LIVE UPDATES: Raiders, Chiefs square off for 1st place in AFC West

Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs, both undefeated, will meet Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in a showdown for first place in the AFC West. The Raiders arrive off a 35‑27 come‑from‑behind victory at New Orleans that already matches their win total from the previous season. Tight end Brock Bowers made his debut last week and ignited the offense with 10 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown. After an injury‑riddled 2025 campaign, the Chiefs have returned to the AFC’s elite tier. Patrick Mahomes remains steady under center, while running back Kenneth Walker III adds a new dimension to the attack. The winner of the contest will sit alone atop the AFC West standings. **This is simply a processing story. Check back for updates.** Quarterback Aidan O’Connell has rejoined the Raiders and will be available for the game against Kansas City. O’Connell is expected to serve as the emergency quarterback. He had been away from the team for two weeks while mourning the death of his father in Illinois. He was previously listed as questionable, but that designation has been lifted. — Adam Hill The most recent meeting between the clubs occurred on Jan. 4, 2026. Daniel Carlson nailed a 60‑yard field goal as time expired to lift Las Vegas to a 14‑12 victory in the season finale. It marked Carlson’s fourth field goal of the game and his final appearance with the franchise. Chris Oladokun and Shane Buechele combined for 146 passing yards while being sacked eight times behind an injured Patrick Mahomes, including one sack in the end zone that resulted in a safety. Charles Snowden, Tyree Wilson and Tonka Hemingway each recorded two sacks for the Raiders, who had already secured the top pick in the upcoming draft. — Adam Hill **Broadcast information** Kickoff: 1:25 p.m. Venue: Allegiant Stadium Television: CBS (Jim Nantz – play‑by‑play; J.J. Watt – analyst) Streaming: NFL+, Paramount+ Radio: KRLV‑AM 920, KOMP‑FM 92.3 (Jason Horowitz – play‑by‑play; Kirk Morrison – analyst) **Betting odds** Spread: Chiefs –4½ Over/Under: 48 points Moneyline: Chiefs –225, Raiders +183 Odds supplied by Caesars Sportsbook as of Sunday morning. **2026 Raiders schedule** Week 1: W, 27‑13 vs. Miami Dolphins Week 2: W, 26‑14 at Los Angeles Chargers Week 3: W, 35‑27 at New Orleans Saints, 1:25 p.m., CBS Week 4: Sunday: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 1:25 p.m., CBS Week 5: Oct. 11: at New England Patriots, 10 a.m., CBS Week 6: Oct. 18: vs. Buffalo Bills, 1:25 p.m., CBS Week 7: Oct. 25: vs. Los Angeles Rams, 1:25 p.m., Fox Week 8: Nov. 1: at New York Jets, 10 a.m., Fox Week 9: Nov. 8: at San Francisco 49ers, 1:05 p.m., CBS Week 10: Nov. 15: vs. Seattle Seahawks, 1:05 p.m., CBS Week 11: Nov. 22: at Denver Broncos, 1:25 p.m., CBS Week 12: Nov. 29: at Cleveland Browns, 10 a.m., Fox Week 13: Dec. 6: Bye Week 14: Dec. 13: vs. Los Angeles Chargers, 1:05 p.m., CBS Week 15: Dec. 20: vs. Denver Broncos, 1:25 p
