The 62-year-old man is remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Crown Court on 14 September.

A Serco employee accused of sharing the addresses of asylum seeker accommodation has been charged with misconduct. The properties on St John’s Way, Bracken Road, Clover Way, Elm Road and Chester Way in Thetford, Norfolk, were targeted by crowds over 3 nights earlier this month. James Jobson, 62, of Highlow Road, Costessey, adjacent to Norwich, works for Serco and appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday. He was remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Crown Court on 14 September. Norfolk Police said the complaint relates to the release of information concerning a number of addresses in Thetford that were subsequently targeted during several nights of violent disturbance in the town. A Serco spokesperson stated: “This matter is presently being handled by the police, and we are cooperating fully. As this relates to an ongoing legal process, it would be inappropriate to comment further.” This breaking news story is being updated and more details will be published shortly.
