Missing Las Vegas area man found dead near Alamo, sheriff’s office says

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that it is investigating two separate discoveries near the town of Alamo. On August 21, the office said deputies received a report of a body found off a road roughly 25 miles south of the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge headquarters. The remains were identified as Andrew Fehrman, 36. According to a missing‑person bulletin issued by the Metropolitan Police Department on August 4, Fehrman was last seen at noon on August 1 near the 12000 block of Canyon Sunset Street in Summerlin. An autopsy conducted by the Clark County Coroner’s Office determined that Fehrman died from extreme heat exposure. In a separate, unrelated case, the Sheriff’s Office said the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recovered human skeletal remains at the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge on September 20. The remains were turned over to the Clark County Coroner’s Office for a full autopsy, and the investigation remains ongoing.
