Beachgoers at Pensacola Beach, Florida, recorded a low‑altitude pass by a US Navy Blue Angels jet on Wednesday as the aircraft flew unusually close to the crowd during an air show demonstration.
Video posted to social media captured the moment the jet executed the flyby, sending beach umbrellas and other loose items into the air while spectators cheered.
Officials from the elite Blue Angels formation objection squadron said they are conducting a review after "an craft flew little than modular profiles, resulting successful a disturbance connected the formation that affected civilian chairs and umbrellas", according to US media reports.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, with one beachgoer describing the experience to US media as "amazing".
