Motorcyclist, 22, killed in suspected DUI crash in south Las Vegas

A 22‑year‑old motorcyclist died after a suspected DUI collision Sunday night in the southern Las Vegas Valley, police reported. The Metropolitan Police Department said in an email that the crash took place at 8:31 p.m. at the intersection of East Windmill Lane and South Haven Street. According to investigators, a 2014 Mercedes‑Benz E350 was traveling south on South Haven Street toward East Windmill Lane while a 2026 Kawasaki Ninja was heading east on East Windmill Lane toward South Haven Street. Police stated that the Mercedes‑Benz driver failed to obey a posted stop sign, entered the motorcyclist’s lane and struck the Kawasaki. The rider, a Las Vegas resident, was thrown from the bike and came to rest on the pavement. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes‑Benz, identified as 55‑year‑old Angela Denley‑Dick of Houston, Texas, remained at the location and was determined to be impaired, authorities said. Denley‑Dick was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges related to the crash. The fatality raises the Metro area’s traffic‑death toll for 2026 to 79.
