The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday at 5:21 p.m. on northbound Interstate 11 just north of mile marker 9 near Boulder City. Troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover involving a two-door coupe sedan that traveled off the roadway into the desert area.

The driver, described only as an unrestrained male, was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover and was pronounced dead at the scene. Trooper Shawn Haggstrom said in an email that there were no immediate road closures because the vehicle left the roadway, though investigators may require a short closure on the northbound side for up to 30 minutes.

No further details about the victim or the cause of the crash have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
