Federal, state, and local agencies collaborated on Operation Loaded Dice, a nearly three-month investigative initiative launched in July by the Las Vegas Homeland Security Task Force targeting drug trafficking and violent crime in the Las Vegas Valley. The operation led to 144 arrests across the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area.

Authorities reported seizing more than one million dollars in assets, 290 firearms, and more than 1,000 kilograms of narcotics, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada Sigal Chattah stated, 'We tell our children that one pill could kill. When I look at the work that HSTF does, 30,000 fentanyl pills is 30,000 lives that we saved.'

The operation targeted networks associated with the Sinaloa Cartel, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, and other regional drug trafficking organizations, gangs, and criminal networks. Investigators used intelligence-driven methods, surveillance, wiretaps, and coordinated enforcement actions to disrupt these operations.

Homeland Security Investigator Kai Ereme noted that the operation focused on dismantling multi-level leadership structures, removing lieutenants and higher-level individuals. The effort also initiated 13 new Homeland Security Task Force investigations, which will continue in coordination with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Nevada.
