Over 100 couples renew vows at annual summit in Las Vegas

More than 100 couples renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas as part of the Teach For America 35th Anniversary Summit held at Caesars Forum on October 2–3. The event brought together over 8,000 members of the TFA community for its first large-scale gathering in more than a decade.

As part of the summit, more than 150 couples who met through Teach For America participated in a group vow renewal ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator. The ceremony highlighted connections formed through a shared passion for education and making a difference.

Naya Bloom and Drew Furedi, who met as TFA members in 1995 and have been married for 26 years, took part in the ceremony. They said they celebrated 26 years of marriage and loved renewing their vows with others who found partners through TFA, noting that 10 friends from their wedding attended the summit.

Drew Furedi dressed up for the occasion, embracing his inner Elvis, while Naya Bloom wore her original wedding veil. The event represented hundreds of couples whose relationships began through the organization, underscoring how bonds formed in service can endure beyond the classroom.
