An aeroplane flying to Israel fell 17,000ft (5,200m) in less than two minutes before it was diverted.

Passenger Almog Itali told the BBC that the sudden drop of Flight FZ1073 felt like a "rollercoaster" after the aircraft descended 17,000ft (5,200m) in less than 2 minutes following an alleged stabbing of the co‑pilot by the pilot. The flight, which had been bound for Israel, was diverted to Saudi Arabia after several passengers said they assumed control of the plane and two other pilots located in the rear cabin reportedly moved forward to land the aircraft.
