Prep cross country teams participate at Palo Verde Labor Day Classic — PHOTOS

At the Palo Verde Labor Day Classic held Saturday at Desert Breeze Park, Green Valley’s Reese Leoncavallo won the boys’ junior and senior divisions with a time of 13 minutes, 40.4 seconds. Teammate Ka‘eo Luna finished second in 14:08.5. On the girls’ side, Shadow Ridge’s Ryen Hughes captured the junior and senior titles, clocking 16:43 to edge out Coral Academy’s Alexandra Herchik, who posted 16:50.4. The event drew numerous top high‑school cross‑country teams from Southern Nevada.
