A Las Vegas man who originally faced allegations involving a forgery lab and sex trafficking agreed to a plea deal resulting in probation. Ryan Iseghohi pleaded guilty to conspiracy to obtain and use personal identity information of another to harm or for unlawful purpose. Clark County District Judge Pete Thunell reluctantly followed the terms of the deal, sentencing Iseghohi to 28 to 72 months in the Nevada Department of Corrections, suspended.
Molly Brady, identified as a victim of sex trafficking in the case, told 8 News Now Investigators, "This man is the devil." She said Iseghohi forced her to sell sex. "My hope would have been at least for him to go to jail and also have to pay restitution for everything he's taken from me," Brady said. "At the end of the day, they knew I was being trafficked." She delivered a victim impact statement at sentencing, saying, "He made me feel like I had no choice in that environment."
District Attorney Steve Wolfson said prosecutors believe Brady is a victim of sex trafficking, but her credibility posed an issue. He referred to her criminal case involving financial crimes that she claimed Iseghohi put her up to. Las Vegas Metro police said they discovered $658,000 linked to prostitution-related activity with Brady. Brady also filed a civil lawsuit against Iseghohi.
As part of his sentence, Iseghohi must stay out of trouble and off the Las Vegas Strip during night hours. He noted that he runs a business reliant on Strip properties; Nevada Secretary of State records show he operates The Company Car Collection, LLC. Iseghohi did not offer an apology at sentencing.
Iseghohi is not a United States citizen; an arrest report referred to Nigeria. His defense attorney, Chris Rasmussen, said Iseghohi is working with an immigration attorney and did not believe the criminal case would affect that process. Rasmussen reiterated that Iseghohi was not convicted of sex trafficking. The District Attorney's office said deportation is up to the federal government. Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not respond for the report.
