UNLV has added former Ole Miss defensive player AJ Storr to its roster, despite an ongoing eligibility dispute that could affect his ability to compete.
The Runnin’ Rebels announced on Tuesday that Storr, a Bishop Gorman product, will play what will be his fifth season of college basketball with the program.
Storr’s commitment comes after a Tennessee justice granted an injunction earlier this period that permits him and other members of the 2022 recruiting class to pursue an additional year of eligibility. The NCAA is actively seeking to overturn that injunction, but a separate ruling in Colorado also applies to the matter, meaning both decisions would need to be reversed for Storr to lose his eligibility.
Before his stint in Oxford, Mississippi, Storr spent time at Kansas, Wisconsin and St. John’s. During the 2025 season, the 6‑foot‑5 senior averaged 15.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
He will enter the 2026‑27 campaign as one of the most experienced players on a revamped UNLV roster and could emerge as a top offensive weapon in the reconfigured Mountain West Conference.
Storr joins fellow newcomers Sebastian Mack, Alyn Breed, Jeremy Founema and Cam Miles, alongside returning guards Tyrin Jones and Isaac Williamson.
