Five men were arrested on suspicion of panic offences near RAF Fairford on Sunday and have since been released on bail, according to the head of UK anti-terror policing. The suspects, UK nationals in their 20s, were detained under the Explosives Act on suspicion of preparing a violent act. Speaking to the press on Monday, Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor said the investigation is not closed, as police are considering numerous angles, including the possibility that proxies acting on behalf of a foreign authority were involved.
