Watch: Shipwreck uncovered on Nantucket island during nor'easter storm

Shipwreck believed to be from the 19th‑century vessel Warren Sawyer uncovered on Nantucket after nor'easter An intense nor'easter that swept across Massachusetts over the weekend exposed what appears to be a shipwreck dating to the 1800s, local media reported. The debris was found on a sand formation on Sunday and is thought to be a section of the 'Warren Sawyer', a ship that ran aground near Nantucket in 1884, according to the Nantucket Current. Pieces of the wooden hull were also located in 2022 and 2023. The same storm brought heavy rain and dangerous coastal flooding to parts of the northeastern United States, leaving more than 160,000 households without power.
