Four children and one adult were taken to a hospital Sunday morning after a fire broke out at a home in the east Las Vegas Valley. Crews from the Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue were dispatched around 9:15 a.m. to a residence near Mt Hood Street and Washington Avenue.
Arriving firefighters found flames coming from the second story of the home. While crews worked to extinguish the blaze, search teams entered the structure to confirm everyone had escaped.
The five occupants were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials did not immediately release information on their conditions.
