Athletics to play select regular season games in Las Vegas

The Athletics will be making their local debut next June with a homestand at Las Vegas Ballpark, the team announced today

The A’s will play three games against the Milwaukee Brewers from June 8-10 at the 10,000-seat stadium in Summerlin. The Athletics will then face off against the Colorado Rockies in another three-game series from June 12-14. Tickets are not yet on sale. 

The A’s are still three years away from opening their $2 billion stadium on the Strip, spending this season in Sacramento since leaving Oakland at the end of last season.

In June, club executives and local leaders broke ground on the site where the iconic Tropicana previously stood.
