Las Vegas boasts two of the nation's elite high school football programs heading into the upcoming season, according to High School Football America's latest rankings.

Defending state champion Bishop Gorman earned the No. 3 spot in the national rankings released today, while Arbor View — last year's state runner-up — checked in at No. 122.

The Gaels return a loaded roster featuring safety Jett Washington, a four-star recruit who committed to Oregon earlier this month, and Prince Davis, who's headed to Arizona. Senior quarterback Maika Eugenio, a Hawaii commit, returns after an impressive campaign in which he completed 105 of 150 passes for 2,045 yards and 31 touchdowns despite not becoming the starter until midway through the season.

Bishop Gorman, winners of four mythical national championships since 2014, enters the season as legitimate title contenders once again. The Gaels will host preseason No. 1 Mater Dei on Sept. 19 in what could be a season-defining matchup that determines the top ranking.

Arbor View looks to build on its breakthrough 2024 campaign with several key returning contributors, including junior wide receivers Jayden Williams and Damani Warren, tight end Zac Fares, and quarterback Thaddeus Thatcher, who has committed to Utah.

The season kicks off in mid-August.
