Blake Nadler arrived at Centennial after a junior year at Roosevelt High in Eastvale, California, where he threw for 1,589 yards and 16 touchdowns. Seeking a fresh start, he chose the Las Vegas program, noting, “I knew they had guys over here, knew they had an (offensive) line,” and “I knew they had ‘Jet’ (Minnesota commit Jayden Thomas) and we were looking to make a move for my senior year and get things going in my recruitment. … Get a fresh start and win some games.”

In his lone season with the Bulldogs, Nadler has posted a 63.7 percent completion rate, 1,588 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and three interceptions, ranking him among the state’s top quarterbacks. Coach DJ Campbell praised his impact, saying, “(Nadler) has brought a different type of leadership that we haven’t had at the quarterback position in my entire time here. He’s vocal. He is demanding, sometimes he can rub the kids the wrong way, but he wants perfection. He wants effort. He wants all of that.” Centennial’s offense now averages 39.8 points and 358.3 yards per game.

Centennial (4‑3, 2‑1 in Division I West) hosts Shadow Ridge (3‑4, 2‑1) Friday at 7 p.m. The winner will claim the West League’s No. 2 seed and a spot in the Division I Superintendents Cup, while the loser heads to consolation games. The two teams split last season’s meetings, with Shadow Ridge winning 18‑12 in the regular season and Centennial upsetting the top‑seeded Raiders 43‑27 in the regional playoffs.

Nadler, a three‑star recruit listed at 6 feet, 180 pounds, previously committed to UNR, but the agreement fell apart after the Wolf Pack fired their offensive coordinator. “Now, I’m open to anyone who wants to take a chance on me and make it happen,” he said, keeping his college options open as he aims for a championship run with Centennial.
