Community briefs: First Friday theme celebrates Arts District revitalization

The First Friday Foundation brings its monthly arts festival to the Las Vegas Arts District this Friday with a September theme of Revitalize, underscoring the neighborhood’s ongoing revitalization. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. throughout the Arts District. Activity centers on Boulder Avenue in front of the Arts Factory and continues onto First Street, where roughly 100 local artists and craftspeople display their work.
