More than 41 million global viewers watched Saturday’s boxing card in Las Vegas between Canelo Álvarez and Terence “Bud” Crawford on Netflix, the streaming platform announced today.
It’s the most-viewed boxing match this century, Netflix said in a social media post.
The fight attracted 70,482 fans to Allegiant Stadium, making it the largest crowd ever assembled for a boxing match in Nevada.
Crawford became the first boxer ever to capture the undisputed championship in a third weight class by upsetting fan favorite Saul “Canelo” Álvarez via unanimous decision (116-112, 115-113, 115-113).
