The view from the River Thames in London

During February, there's the opportunity to see a planetary parade in the sky after dark, as six of the planets align to create a celestial spectacle.
On Saturday 1 February, some of our BBC Weather Watchers reported these sightings of the crescent Moon and Venus close together.

"A great sight to see" after the sky cleared in Suffolk
How's the forecast looking for sky gazers?
With the clearest skies in the south-east of the UK on Saturday, viewing conditions were ideal for planet spotting.
Cloud is likely to prevail over the next few nights - but as the week goes on there will be a greater chance of clearer skies for many parts of the country.
If you are planning to be outside at night, you might want to wrap up warmly as cold nights and frosty mornings will feature in the forecast.
