Dallas Cowboys sign DL Quinnen Williams to 3-year, $105.9M contract extension

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a three‑year, $105.9 million contract extension with defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, the team announced. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the deal contains $101 million in total guarantees, with $63.35 million fully guaranteed at signing, giving Williams an average annual value of $35.3 million. The extension marks the largest ever third‑year deal for an NFL defensive lineman. Williams, 28, arrived in Dallas last November via a trade with the New York Jets. The Cowboys surrendered a 2026 second‑round pick, a 2027 first‑round pick and defensive tackle Mazi Smith to acquire the four‑time Pro Bowler. The move immediately made him a cornerstone of Dallas’ defensive plans, and the organization had signaled during training camp its intention to keep him beyond his existing contract, which was set to run through the 2027 season. The extension was finalized fewer than two weeks after Cowboys executive Stephen Jones said the club wanted to begin talks with Williams about a long‑term future in Dallas.
