Eldorado beats Palo Verde in boys soccer on prep sports opening night — PHOTOS

August 13, 2026 - 9:40 pm Eldorado's boys' soccer squad defeated Palo Verde 2-0 on Thursday night at Eldorado, opening the Gerald Pentsil Classic and the high school autumn sports season. Josue Figueroa and Charlie Archila each scored a goal for the Firehawks, improving their record to 1-0. Palo Verde fell to 0-1. Eldorado will next play SLAM! Nevada at 7 p.m. Friday at Eldorado. Palo Verde is scheduled to meet SECTA at 6 p.m. Friday at Eldorado. The Gerald Pentsil Classic continues at Eldorado through Saturday.
