Four men dead after car crashes into lamp-post Four men were killed when a car struck a lamp‑post on Liverpool Road in Huyton, Merseyside, shortly before 02:00 BST, Merseyside Police confirmed. The victims were two men aged 23, one aged 24 and one aged 26; all were pronounced dead at the scene. A 27‑year‑old male passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition. Police said the white Seat Cupra had been travelling from Liverpool towards Knowsley when it left the carriageway and collided with the lamp‑post. As a result of the collision, eleven roads in the vicinity have been closed, including Liverpool Road and East Prescot Road, from the junction of Princess Drive and Finch Lane, while officers continue their investigations.
