The Vegas Golden Knights added four prospects to the organization during Saturday’s 2025 NHL Entry Draft at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, focusing primarily on forward depth with three offensive players among their selections.

Vegas opened its draft with Swedish-born forward Jakob Ihs-Wozniak in the second round (55th overall). The 18-year-old Australian native had a dominant 2024-25 season with 57 points in 40 games with Luleå HF J20 in Sweden.

The 6-foot-3 right-winger also contributed to Luleå HF’s SHL Championship victory and helped Team Sweden capture silver at the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship.

The Golden Knights continued building their forward prospect pool in the third round by selecting Mateo Nobert 85th overall.

The 17-year-old from Beaconsfield, Quebec, emerged as a key contributor for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, posting 67 points in 57 QMJHL games last season—fourth-best on his team. Nobert brings international experience, having won gold with Team Canada White at the 2024 U17 World Hockey Challenge.

Vegas made back-to-back sixth-round selections, starting with Los Angeles native Alexander Weiermair at 186th overall. The 20-year-old forward transferred from the University of Denver to Portland of the WHL, where he recorded 46 regular-season points and added 23 more in 18 playoff games while helping the Winterhawks reach the Western Conference Championship.

The Golden Knights concluded their draft by selecting Swedish defenseman Gustav Sjoqvist 187th overall.

The 19-year-old Stockholm native led all defensemen with 11 goals in Sweden’s J20 Nationell league and brings size at 6-foot-3, 207 pounds. Sjoqvist has extensive international experience with Team Sweden across multiple junior levels.
