Henderson elementary school worker arrested in child abuse case

Henderson elementary school employee arrested on child abuse charges September 23, 2026 - 6:04 pm Updated September 23, 2026 - 6:07 pm The Clark County School District Police Department took Julia Martinez‑Ebner, 44, into custody on Wednesday and booked her into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of child abuse/neglect and battery, according to a department statement. The arrest followed an investigation that began at Robert L. Taylor Elementary School in Henderson during September. Martinez‑Ebner has been employed by the Clark County School District since July 2020 and most recently served as a literacy and language intervention specialist at the school. District officials said Martinez‑Ebner will be placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the case.
