The Michelin Guide returned to Las Vegas on Wednesday, August 26, marking the first time the tire institution has awarded stars to the city in 17 years. Michelin published its inaugural Las Vegas guide in 2008, followed by a second edition in 2009 before withdrawing from Sin City entirely. In addition to Las Vegas, the guide recognized restaurants across Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah as part of its new American Southwest category.
The inaugural Las Vegas edition awarded one star to Nobu, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Wing Lei; two stars went to Picasso, Restaurant Guy Savoy and Alex; Joël Robuchon was the sole recipient of three stars. Since the guide’s launch, several of those establishments have closed, including Aureole and Mesa Grill.
For the 2026 listing, the one‑star restaurants in Las Vegas are L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Restaurant Guy Savoy and É by José Andrés. Joël Robuchon received the night’s only two‑star distinction.
Michelin also announced its Bib Gourmand honorees, a category that spotlights “good quality, value cooking.” At these venues diners can anticipate two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for roughly $50 before tax and tip. The three Las Vegas Bib Gourmand recipients are China Poblano, Esther’s Kitchen and Yen Viet Kitchen.
The guide’s broader recommendations for Las Vegas include Anima by Edo, Bouchon, Cote Las Vegas, Estiatorio Milos, Gymkhana, Kabuto, Kame Omakase, Lamaii, Michael Mina, Mott 32, Partage, Pho Ga Bac Bac, Ping Pang Pong, Soulbelly BBQ, Sparrow and Wolf, Stubborn Seed and Wing Lei.
Sean Christopher of Joël Robuchon was presented with the Michelin Service Award, which acknowledges hospitality. “We strive each night to make a connection with guests,” he said in his speech.
