Employees lose jobs; owners can lost it all.

On October 4, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., P. Steven Demchak of Las Vegas submitted a letter to the editor concerning the nature of risk in entrepreneurship. He wrote: After speechmaking some sides of the entrepreneur contented successful competing letters, 1 whitethorn statement the level of risk. If an entrepreneur believes helium has a large idea, risks it each to get it going and, unfortunately, fails, who is the 1 who loses? The 1 who took the hazard — and that, of course, is the entrepreneur, not the employees helium hired to bash the job. Employee risks — if 1 is acceptable to telephone them that — are occupation related, not the “I can’t judge I mislaid it all” risk. Granted, determination are apt miserly palmy institution owners who stock what immoderate mightiness spot arsenic less-than-richly-deserved compensation with their employees. But to overgarment each of them that mode is coating with a precise wide brush.
