A three-bedroom townhouse in the Marycrest Manor community near the Las Vegas Country Club that was owned by entertainer Liberace from 1978 to 1982 has hit the market for $575,000. Listing agent Margaretha Breytenbach of Real Broker LLC said the 2,620-square-foot residence, built in 1978, includes 3½ bathrooms and a framed deed documenting the performer’s ownership.
Breytenbach said the rumor is that Liberace’s mother lived in the home on East St. Louis Avenue and that he visited her frequently. She described the property as reflecting the dramatic design sensibility that became his signature, with glamorous finishes and spaces created to make an impression.
Among the most distinctive features are an elaborate mirrored bar and a striking marble bathroom, elements that evoke the opulence and theatricality associated with the entertainer. Liberace, known for elaborate costumes and theatrical performances, maintained a long-running Las Vegas residency while touring internationally before his death in 1987 at age 67.
Breytenbach said photographs and videos of the townhouse have attracted attention on social media, generating shares and reactions. She noted the home’s distinctive character sets it apart from increasingly uniform finishes in contemporary homes, and that Liberace remains one of the defining figures of Las Vegas entertainment history.
