Jermari Arnold had an 80-yard interception return for a touchdown Friday night to propel the Liberty football team to a 31-13 victory over Casteel High of Queen Creek, Ariz.

The win marked Liberty’s second triumph in less than a week, following their dominant 33-0 shutout of Kailua, Hawaii, six days earlier.

“I like our team. We are coming along,” Liberty coach Rich Muraco said. “The last two weeks, our defense has been amazing.”

Liberty forced five turnovers Friday, including an interception on the goal line from Rysen Dacosin-Arcala to prevent a touchdown.

Selby Griego had touchdown passes to Kellen Iwamuro and Jashawn Crayton, Ezra Sanelivi had a touchdown run and kicker Gunnar Massenburg hit a 34-yard field goal.
