Mark Stone recorded a natural hat trick in the third period, powering the Vegas Golden Knights to a 6-2 victory over the Calgary Flames at T-Mobile Arena. The win improved Vegas to 7-2-0 and gave them 14 points, leading the NHL. Stone’s three goals came at 1:03, 12:10, and 3:47 remaining in the third period, marking the fourth hat trick of his career.

Jack Eichel contributed a goal and two assists, while Brett Howden opened the scoring just 26 seconds into the game with a backhand pass from Mitch Marner. Braeden Bowman also scored, including a power-play goal that restored Vegas’s lead after a Flames short-handed goal. Ivan Barbashev finished with three assists, and Carter Hart made 28 saves in net.

Calgary fell to 1-6-0, with Jacob Middleton and Matt Coronato scoring for the Flames and goaltender Dustin Wolf stopping 27 shots. Middleton cut the lead to 2-1 at 10:15 of the second period after intercepting a pass from Joel Farabee, but Bowman responded 48 seconds later to make it 3-1. Coronato’s late goal provided the final margin for Calgary.

Stone said after the game, 'With the talented players that we have here, you’re doing to get an opportunity.' Bowman added, 'I think we just got back to our game. The recipe that we know is successful.' The Golden Knights continue their homestand on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
