Several Southern Nevada girls soccer players delivered standout offensive performances on Monday. Cimarron-Memorial senior Liz Barrera recorded four goals and three assists in a 9-1 win over Bonanza, while Palo Verde junior Olivia Gastwirth tallied four goals and two assists in a 16-0 victory over Mojave. Arbor View senior Sophia Sachs added four goals and two assists in a 7-1 win over Foothill, and Las Vegas senior Alexa Sandoval scored four goals in an 8-0 shutout of Chaparral. In a tighter contest, Faith Lutheran junior Sidney Drinkard netted a second-half goal for a 1-0 win over Coronado, and Spring Valley senior goalkeeper Olivia Maia secured a 3-0 win over Durango with seven saves.

At the Class 5A girls golf state tournament in Reno, Bishop Gorman leads the team standings after the first round at Wolf Run Golf Course. The Gaels shot a 16-over 304, holding a two-stroke advantage over Faith Lutheran (306). Five-time defending champion Coronado sits third at 28-over 316. Individually, Faith Lutheran's Maddie Perez and Bishop Gorman's Sol Choi are tied for the lead at 1-under 71, with Palo Verde's Sage Perry in third at 2-over 74. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday at Lake Ridge Golf Course.

The first rounds of the Class 4A and 3A state golf tournaments are also set to begin Tuesday at Aliante Golf Club and Ruby View Golf Course in Elko, respectively. In other news, Mater East's football team forfeited a win over Sloan Canyon from last month due to an administrative oversight. Additionally, Faith Lutheran's girls tennis team captured the Class 5A team state title on Friday, avenging a regular-season loss to Coronado with a tiebreaker victory.
