Tourism officials in Las Vegas rolled out a new campaign called “The Vegas Effect” this weekend, timed to coincide with the IMEX America trade show, the largest gathering for global meetings, events and incentive travel. The campaign, developed by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, is presented as a business‑focused brand platform and integrated marketing effort.
Las Vegas continues to rely on meetings and conventions as a core part of its tourism infrastructure. The LVCVA reports that the city hosted 6 million convention attendees in 2025, producing $17.1 billion in overall economic output for the region. Officials say the city’s reputation for entertainment helps boost convention attendance and makes meetings more effective.
A 60‑second spot highlights the city’s attractions and convention‑friendly facilities, noting that companies have used the new Sphere venue for elevated keynote addresses. “The campaign is aimed at meeting planners and business decision‑makers and showcases why teams that meet in Las Vegas align faster, collaborate better, and create more momentum,” the LVCVA release states.
At the same time, the LVCVA introduced a travel campaign for Laughlin titled “Keep it Floaty,” which promotes affordable river‑front activities such as golf, entertainment, desert exploration, jet‑skiing, kayaking, paddleboarding and boat tours to the nearby London Bridge in Lake Havasu City.
