Photos and video made public this week track the steps a 43-year-old gunman took before authorities said he killed the mother of his children and another man inside a Las Vegas grocery store.

Newly released video tracks suspect in Las Vegas supermarket shooting Surveillance footage shown to a Clark County grand jury depicts Alejandro Estrada, a 43‑year‑old man, entering the Smith’s store at 9750 S. Maryland Parkway on the morning of May 12. He carried a white backpack and wore white pants, white shoes and a white Spider‑Man T‑shirt. In the recording, Estrada circles the grocery aisle before following two individuals down a passage that moves out of camera view. Seconds later, nearby shoppers begin to duck and move toward the store’s exit. Minutes after his arrival, he leaves the premises at a steady pace. Additional video from the pharmacy drive‑through shows several witnesses tackling and subduing Estrada, who is later placed on a gurney by arriving police officers and paramedics. Estrada was indicted on two counts of first‑degree murder, along with burglary, weapons and location‑penetration charges, in connection with the deaths of Amanda Frias Rosas and her husband, Victor Frias Rosas. Authorities say Estrada and Amanda Frias Rosas were engaged in a child‑custody dispute, and that he expressed concern about possible incarceration over unpaid support obligations. After the shooting, detectives interviewed Estrada at University Medical Center; police reported that he confessed to the killings. Ring‑camera footage captures Estrada departing his residence and walking along the street where the Frias Rosas family lived. According to investigators, he initially planned to ambush the couple at their home. When he discovered they were not present, he ransacked their bedroom, and newly released photographs document the resulting damage.
