NFL flexes Raiders-49ers game to later on Nov. 8

The NFL announced this week that the Week 9 matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers has been flexed to a 1:25 p.m. kickoff on Nov. 8, moving the start time back 20 minutes from the originally scheduled 1:05 p.m. slot. The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The league also moved the television broadcast from CBS to Fox for the cross-state contest.

The scheduling change comes as the Raiders enter the week on a four-game losing streak, having allowed at least 30 points in each defeat. The most recent loss came Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams at Allegiant Stadium, where Las Vegas trailed 28-6 at halftime.

Coach Klint Kubiak said after the loss that all options are on the table to turn the team’s fortunes around, noting that the staff is “thinking about everything” at this point. Defensive leaders indicated that certain mistakes will no longer be tolerated moving forward.

On the personnel front, the Raiders announced Tuesday they are releasing defensive tackle Jonah Laulu and activating wide receiver Dont’e Thornton Jr. from injured reserve to the 53-man roster. Rookie guard Trey Zuhn III is healthy and competing for playing time, while wide receiver Jack Bech has had his practice window opened as he returns from a forearm injury.
