The Rio hotel‑casino announced a new promotion called "Giving Away the House" that will begin on Nov. 1. The giveaway, in partnership with homebuilder Lennar, will culminate in a grand‑prize drawing on March 6 where one lucky guest will win a newly built home in the Las Vegas Valley valued at about $400,000.
Eight preliminary drawings are scheduled between Nov. 14 and Feb. 20. At each of those draws, five winners will receive $1,000 in free play. The preliminary drawings will be held at 6 p.m. in the Lapa Lounge.
The March 6 finale, also at 6 p.m. on the Rio Event Stage, will award the home to a single winner, while four other participants will receive free‑play prizes of $10,000, $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000. To enter, Rio Rewards members must be at least 21, have a Rio Rewards account, present valid ID and activate their entry at a promotional kiosk between 3 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on each drawing date.
"One‑of‑a‑kind promotion that offers guests a potentially life‑changing prize," Rio President Rod Turlan said of the giveaway.
