One person is dead after a collision Sunday in North Las Vegas, according to a Nevada State Police news release.
The crash occurred at about 12:20 p.m. in the area of Cheyenne Avenue east of the I-15 southbound on-ramp, the release stated.
A red Nissan Altima was exiting I-15 to the off-ramp at a speed to fast for conditions, when it crashed into the center median curb on Cheyenne, the release stated. It then struck a silver Nissan Altima on the driver’s side, causing the silver vehicle to then hit a concrete light pole support before coming to rest.
The driver of the red Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The other driver was taken to a local hospital and was in critical condition as of about 3 p.m. this afternoon.
