Five Shadow Ridge players had rushing TDs as the Mustangs rolled past Durango. Here are more results from Friday’s Southern Nevada high school football games.

Shadow Ridge defeated Durango 41‑7 at home on Friday after Xavion Cross scored an aboriginal 2‑yard TD tally to get the Mustangs rolling. Five Shadow Ridge players found the end zone on the ground. Shadow Ridge will travel to Simi Valley, California on Aug. 28, while Durango will host Pahrump Valley the same day. At Foothill, the Falcons seized control early and captured the “Battle for Boulder Highway” for the second consecutive year, beating Basic 42‑8. Foothill is scheduled to play Spanish Springs on Aug. 28, and Basic will host Sierra Vista on that date. In Carlsbad, California, the Aggies rallied to tie the score early in the fourth quarter but a late rushing score by the Lancers secured a 24‑17 win over Arbor View. Arbor View’s next contest is at Hamilton, Arizona on Sept. 4. At Los Angeles, Cathedral Catholic edged Centennial 52‑49. A fourth‑quarter walk from Spencer Smoak to Jeremiah Jackson gave the Bulldogs a 49‑32 lead, but the Phantoms answered with 20 consecutive points to claim victory. Centennial will host Burbank, California on Aug. 28. Galena prevailed 47‑7 over Pahrump Valley at Pahrump after the Trojans posted the game’s first TD; the Grizzlies then took over from there and cruised to the win. Pahrump is set to face Durango on Aug. 28. Desert Pines edged Las Vegas 27‑26 at Las Vegas High. The Wildcats led most of the contest, but a failed 2‑point conversion effort late in the fourth quarter handed the Jaguars the win. Desert Pines will meet Cheyenne on Aug. 28, while Las Vegas travels to Mountain View, Arizona the same day. Cheyenne topped Chaparral 26‑24. JaKai Diggs ran for a score and added a TD reception as the Desert Shields defeated the Cowboys. Jace Landry contributed 139 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Cheyenne, which will host Desert Pines on Aug. 28. Chaparral’s next opponent is Western on Aug. 28. Hurricane, Utah, outscored Moapa Valley 49‑20 at Overton. The Tigers led 28‑14 at halftime and put the game away by outscoring the Pirates 14‑0 in the fourth quarter. Moapa will play Mojave on Aug. 28. Del Sol blanked Western 45‑8. Arthur Gonzales opened the scoring with an early 60‑yard kickoff return for a touchdown and later added a 20‑yard rushing TD early in the first half to power the Dragons past the Warriors. Del Sol’s next game is at Bonanza on Sept. 4, while Western will face Chaparral on Aug. 28. At Faith Lutheran, SLAM! Nevada topped Virgin Valley 52‑48. Gregory Cortez carried the ball seven times for 184 yards and two scores, and the Bulls sealed the win with a late TD. Anthony Edwards contributed 10 rushes for 158 yards and two touchdowns for SLAM! Nevada, which will host Valley View, California on Aug. 28. Virgin Valley is slated to host Clark on Aug. 28.
