Raiders cornerback carted off field in Houston with knee injury

Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Chigozie Anusiem was carted off the field at Reliant Stadium during the 3rd 4th of the preseason game against the Houston Texans. The third‑year player had been signed by the Raiders off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad in December and spent the final weeks of the 2025 season on the roster. He had been competing for a roster spot during training camp and appeared to injure his knee while covering a punt. The Raiders ruled him out for the remainder of the game shortly thereafter. Anusiem had a towel over his head and appeared emotional as the entire Raiders squad gathered on the field while he was loaded onto the cart.
