All three of Cody White’s catches this season have gone for touchdowns, earning him a promotion to the active roster in place of an injured Raiders wide receiver.

Las Vegas Raiders promoted wide receiver Cody White to the active roster on Monday, moving Jack Bech to injured reserve. White, a 27‑year‑old Michigan State alumnus, had been elevated from the practice squad for each of the team’s first three games. He recorded a notable special‑teams play in the season opener and has scored three touchdowns over the past two weeks. During that span he has been targeted five times, with all three of his receptions resulting in touchdowns. White is primarily known for his contributions on special teams, appearing on 56 percent of those snaps this season. Prior to last week’s performance he had logged just one career touchdown in four NFL seasons; that score came last season while he played under current Raiders offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak in Seattle. Kubiak praised White after the game, saying, “All he does is compete and work hard. Very blessed for No. 82. Glad we got him.” Bech suffered a fractured forearm in the victory over New Orleans and will miss time. Kubiak added, “We’ll get him back.” To fill the practice‑squad vacancy, the Raiders re‑signed former first‑round pick Phillip Dorsett and released Justin Shorter. Dorsett had spent most of the previous season on Las Vegas’ practice squad before being let go late in training camp.
