Rapper, Las Vegas nightclub sued over alleged assault of teen

A teenager who was 16 years old at the time has filed a civil suit in District Court against rapper Chocolate MC, whose real name is Yosvanis Sierra Hernandez, Masque Nightclub, and Boyd Gaming Corp., which owns The Orleans hotel. The lawsuit alleges that the plaintiff was allowed into the club and permitted to consume alcohol and cocaine at a 2024 New Year’s Eve party before Hernandez sexually assaulted her in a hotel room at The Orleans.

The complaint states that Hernandez knew or should have known the plaintiff was a minor and was impaired, and that he engaged in sexual conduct and/or sexual penetration without her consent. It also alleges that the nightclub furnished alcohol to an underage person and that Boyd Gaming failed to protect the plaintiff and was negligent in hiring and training employees.

Hernandez, who performed at the nightclub as part of its New Year’s Eve festivities, has not been charged with a crime in connection with the incident, and no police report appears to have been filed. The attorneys for the plaintiff seek more than $15,000 for each of the 13 causes of action outlined in the complaint. Hernandez was sentenced to 10 years in prison earlier this year in a plea deal related to an attempted murder-for-hire plot in Florida.
