Savinho open to leaving Man City amid Spurs interest

Manchester City winger Savinho is said to be open to leaving the club as Tottenham Hotspur show interest. The Brazil international is described as a key target for Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi, and City are aware of the approach toward the 22‑year‑old. Sources indicate Savinho is keen to depart during the current transfer window, with negotiations over a potential move to London already under way. The attacker arrived at the Etihad from sister club Troyes for a fee of £30.8 million in July 2024, having spent the preceding season on loan at Spanish side Girona. Tottenham had held talks to sign him last summer, but City were not prepared to sell at that time. In October he agreed to a two‑year contract extension that keeps him at Manchester City until 2031. Under Pep Guardiola in his debut season, Savinho featured regularly, scoring three goals in 48 appearances across all competitions. His playing time became more limited last term, with 36 appearances in all competitions during Guardiola’s final period in charge. Competition for a starting place came from Rayan Cherki, who joined from Lyon last summer, and Antoine Semenyo, a January acquisition from AFC Bournemouth, both of whom have also been deployed on the right flank.
